Transformation That Extends Beyond the Individual
"Service is an expression of fullness and an opportunity to create social transformation." — Shobha Bagrecha
A Life of Service
Shobha's work has never been confined to individuals seeking personal growth. From the very beginning, her practice has been rooted in a deep commitment to social transformation — the belief that when enough individuals heal and grow, communities transform.
Over 22+ years, she has brought breathwork, meditation, and emotional resilience programs to some of the most underserved and vulnerable populations in the world — disaster survivors, military personnel, at-risk youth, rural communities, and marginalized women.
Areas of Impact
Each program is rooted in the same core tools — breathwork, meditation, and human connection — adapted to meet each community where they are.
Women's Empowerment
As Director of the Women's Empowerment Project for the Art of Living Foundation, Shobha has dedicated decades to removing systemic barriers that prevent women from accessing education, economic opportunity, and personal freedom.
The programs go beyond surface-level empowerment — they address the internal barriers of self-doubt, shame, and conditioned limitation. When a woman's inner world transforms, her external reality follows.
- Programs delivered across India, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America
- Focus on rural and urban underserved communities
- Skills training integrated with breathwork and meditation
Trauma Relief Programs
Following the devastating 2001 Gujarat earthquake, Shobha led and delivered over 200 trauma relief workshops to survivors — using certified trauma-informed breathwork practices to help communities heal from shock, grief, and PTSD.
These programs have since been deployed in the aftermath of other disasters and conflicts, providing mental health support in areas where traditional therapy is inaccessible or culturally unavailable.

- Certified trauma-informed breathwork methodology
- Deployed in conflict zones and disaster-affected regions
Military & Public Sector
Shobha has delivered resilience and stress management programs to armed forces, paramilitary units, and police forces across several countries — helping personnel manage the extreme psychological demands of their roles.
The programs address hypervigilance, emotional suppression, and the unique stressors of high-risk occupations — giving officers practical tools to regulate their nervous systems and perform under pressure without burnout.

- Focus on stress resilience and performance under pressure
- Delivered in India and internationally
Youth Development
Shobha believes deeply that the most lasting investment in society is in its young people. Youth programs focus on emotional intelligence, self-awareness, stress management, and purpose — equipping young people with the inner tools they need before the challenges of adult life arrive.
Programs are adapted for school-aged children through university students, delivered in schools, colleges, and community centers.
- Age-appropriate programs from ages 8 through 25
- Focus on emotional resilience, self-confidence, and purpose
